I created our Dark Mother Model Program to put our marketing dollars in the hands of our beautiful customers. Dark Mother Clothing's brand is about empowering real men and women to feel represented in the fashion community and not have to adhere to the "peppy" one side, or the severe "goth" side either. No matter your style, you belong in our community. If you're a kick-ass alt. person, then you've found your place. Mostly, I want to reward my most loyal customers with first dibs on all my new apparel, while allowing them to break out of their comfort zone, have fun, feel beautiful, and get recognition in doing it!

Our ideal candidate will be a passionate individual, with 1000+ followers, a public profile on Instagram, and good engagement with their followers. Ultimately, I'm looking for a team of awesome people who believe in our mission to be your undoubtedly spooky-self, self-love, and body positivity into the universe.

The most important factors I look for in a Dark Mother Model is the quality of content. The whole point of modeling is so others can see you and your photos! We desire models to have a public profile, and can take quality pictures with good, natural lighting.
​
Must be 18+ years or older to apply.
Also, you don't have to be a parent. We have lines of clothing just for you if you are still a young adult with no baby bats of your own (or, if you don't want any!). I will reach out to you on Instagram to ensure that you are still interested at the time of selection, and then you'll receive a welcome email.

A welcome email will arrive and the process of selecting your first three free items will begin!

Get your order delivered to you:

Once you've received your orders, now its time to start taking pictures! Take well-lit selfies and flatlays for you to post on social media & tag @DarkMotherCo
4.
Post Pictures & Get Recognition!

Once I've received your pictures, I will also cross-post and feature you on our main social media page. It's that simple!
Photography Tips to Keep in Mind:
Use a DSLR Camera if you have it or make sure you are using the highest quality resolution on your phone.
​
No selfies with you holding your phone. Use a timer, or have someone help you with the shoot.
​
Use bright natural light so we can see the details of your face and the apparel. Only unedited photos in full color, please no filters when sending me your work.
​
Always make sure that the apparel above all else is in focus, blurry art doesn't sell well.
​
Don't cover up any of the graphics; each phrase needs to be easily read. No hair, or drawstrings covering the lettering please.
​
Make sure there is enough contrast in the background for the apparel to pop. Example, don't put a white shirt on a white background.
Promotion Tips for Better Engagement:
Post only tall photos, so they fill up more space on people's phones.
​
Zoom into photos so you can see the artwork clearly, so it's the main focus of the image.
​
Include the price, product details, and where people can go to make their purchase.
​
You can also mention that you get a commission, so people are more likely to use your link to help support you!
​
Use all 30 hashtags when you post that includes the subject matter of the artwork: think less #lettering and more #mentalhealth.

Promote each product a few times to your audience. On average only 3% of your audience sees your content anyway.
